Created for the Digital Enterprise Management society to attract first years to their orientation day. I created all the vector elements in Illustrator and used the DEMSociety's blue gradient main colour to derive the green, orange, and magenta gradients for an aesthetically appealing look. The goal was to use familiar silhouettes of electronic devices to attract the interests of the mostly-18-year-old first year demographic.
The poster is 11" x 17" tabloid size. Copy was provided by the Society and I incorporated the poster colours into it for colour cohesion.
I provided a tiled pattern of the vectors as well in case they needed it for future use.
BUFF 2016 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
A partner project to the Buff 2016 interior typesetting. I won the contest for the Call For Submissions poster to be put up around the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College Trafalgar campus. There were no criteria provided for the contest - submissions were encouraged to be anything we wanted that we felt like would work to attract student engagement.
I used red and cyan as focal colours so that the poster would imitate 3D glasses effects once up on the walls. My goal was to make this as bold and as eye-catching as possible so that student submissions would increase. The BUFF publication had notoriously low submission counts - roughly 50 submissions for an 90-page publication the previous two years. For 2016, after my poster went live, we received 110 submissions for the final publication!
MEHRIA & JONATHAN WEDDING E-VITE
I was approached by Mehria to create a "glamorous but romantic" e-vite email blast header for her engagement party. Mehria and I went through several versions before settling on glittery calligraphy (hand-illustrated) and stock watercolour roses.
